Dear friends, family, volunteers and other loyal customers,
It's been a wonderful season for us here at Alfalfa Farm Winery. As we start to close the winery for the year, I always like to look back to see how far we've come.
The Winery has successfully bottled, fermented and harvested all our standard estate wines and added some old favorites back into the mix as well.
We sold out of Pinot Grigio (my dad's favorite* you've heard the stories before, last year it was the Vidal Ice wine...), We had a record harvest of Marechal Foch and bottled a stunning Ice Wine.
We hosted two wedding receptions, three bridal showers and 9 private wine tasting parties.
Let's not forget the wine release party we had for our 2006-2008 harvest and production volunteers where we showcased our new wine labels and clothing line (T's and sweatshirts :) ).
All in all it's been a busy year and we could not have done it without all my siblings and extended family's help and our fabulous volunteers. The core group must be mentioned: Peter Miles, Ralph Hannan, Pam Dante, Charlie Coogan and Armand Grenier. We also couldn't have done it without our customers who visit every weekend to taste our local handcrafted wines.
As you celebrate the holidays please remember to take the time and enjoy the season!
As a thank you for your continued support, please stop by this Sunday 12/14/08 for a wine and cheese tasting from 1-3pm with live music provided by the Adelman family and local musicians.
Best wishes from my family to yours for a safe and joyous holiday season!
Hannah
