Join our CSA
In recent years there
has been an increasing interest in preserving historic and scenic
landscapes in Massachusetts and around the country. This directly relates
to conservation and open-space issues. Agriculture, like any business,
depends on markets to be a productive landscape. One way farms in
the U.S. have found to address these issues is through a business model
called CSAs: Community Supported Agriculture. This is the practice of
pre-selling "shares" of the crop to consumers at the start of the growing
season to be picked up by the share holders as the crop is harvested.
Because wine grapes
are a value-added crop, the process takes about a year from harvest to
consumption. Alfalfa Farm Winery will be incorporating this process into
its wholesale and retail marketing structure. We currently have an
inventory of last year's wine to sell in this way. One share of any mixed
varieties of wine in inventory is for sale for $150 per share. A share
consists of one case of wine.

Alfalfa Farm Winery's CSA can call 978-774-0014 or e-mail
